The use of high-performance pneumatics and hydraulics in automotive applications is wide-ranging. With Festo Fluidsim Hydraulics Pneumatics 4.2, users are able to simulate the design, analysis, and visualization of hydraulic or pneumatic systems according to their specific requirements. This includes areas such as power steering, braking assistance systems, air suspension, adaptive damping for active suspensions, engine control units (ECUs), transmission management modules (TMM), electric power steering modules (EPS), parts feeders in machining centers or robots in machine tools with six axes or more. Festo Fluidsim Hydraulics Pneumatics 4. 2 is a tool for the preparation, simulation, and performance analysis of real-time hydraulic and pneumatic systems in automotive applications. The software has been developed by Festo for the integration of Festo product modules into the design of such systems. The main features of Festo Fluidsim Hydraulics Pneumatics 4.2 are: Displayr: Used to connect sensors to the system or to view sensor data in real time or in history. It can also be used in monitoring applications, for example in the preparation of results from test procedures in live systems. This task is therefore especially useful when developing new systems or when simulating performance tests on existing components. Runmode: Used for a simulation, or test. The RunMode menu contains the list of systems which gives a good overview of all possible configurations. Results: Provides a means of saving a simulation as a run-time analysis report. These reports can be stored on file. The advantage is that they can be stored as PDFs or as Excel spreadsheets and can be sent via email. In this way the results of an analysis can easily be compared with those from other contributors as well as with tests on sample parts. A "run" is defined here as one or more tests on sampling parts that have been prepared according to the specifications required by the user. Variables: Used to define the system model and data for which you want to receive feedback. They can be either simulation-dependent or simulation-independent. The simulation-independent variables are used during the simulation phase and it is possible to define a swap function (or macro) for such variables (i.e. an adjustable value which holds the new value if it has changed and takes its old value otherwise). If you select a variable, there will be a drop down menu on the right side of the window where you can see all values of this variable. Each drop down menu contains all values which belong to one and only one variable. Each variable can be compared to its corresponding value, which has been defined by the user. RunProbe: This tool enables you to generate output data during your simulations. The results can be displayed within the RunMode menu using real-time monitoring (displaying the measured variable in numerical or graphical format) or via a network connection (displaying the variable in Excel). If you use RunProbe, no sensor is required for this purpose. The relevant parameter can either be set directly in Festo Fluidsim Hydraulics Pneumatics 4.2 or defined by means of a value macro (an adjustable value which holds the new value if it has changed and takes its old value otherwise). cfa1e77820
