EFLC (Episodes from Liberty City) is the first expansion pack released for the 2008 video game Grand Theft Auto IV. It is an episodic extension of both the Liberty City and now Vice City stories following on from The Lost and Damned and then continuing in The Ballad of Gay Tony, respectively. EFLC was written by Dan Houser and Rupert Humphries and was released worldwide on October 29, 2009. The expansion pack adds a vast amount of new content and features in the form of new missions and activities. The main storyline also involves returning characters. A new protagonist, Victor Vance, makes his appearance by chasing down and killing all members of the Lost MC in Liberty City. Another major change is that Luis Fernando Lopez was removed from the story and replaced by a new character, Manny Escuela from El Senor de Los Juegos shows up in the Vice City storyline. In addition to this there are new weapons, vehicles, clothing items and new radio stations which can be accessed from a selection on any map or phone calls received throughout the game. The majority of this content is based on the games previous releases, however there are a number of new variations, such as new weapons and characters. The international version of the game contains a special 'Behind the Scenes' documentary that was created by Rockstar Social Club. This extra is unlocked after completing all 20 main story missions in Story Mode, or after unlocking it in the phone calls section of Facebook or Facebook friends. "GTA IV: EFLC" received "generally favorable reviews", according to video game review aggregator Metacritic. The DLC has been criticized for being overly long and unnecessary content to have in the game, particularly when compared to its predecessor, "GTA IV". Critics also disliked the fact that the DLC requires a social club log in and can be unlocked using pre-existing Facebook accounts. Dan Houser, one of the lead writers of GTA IV and EFLC gave an interview with The Guardian in which it was stated that Rockstar is strongly considering releasing a HD version of "GTA: San Andreas". Dan Houser then denied this but continued to state that screenshots will be released soon. Under pressure from fans, Rockstar released these screenshots on their support site. The images all come from "GTA: San Andreas", with slight changes such as color correction and graphics filters. The images include shots of the desert, Grove Street, San Fierro, Las Venturas, and Los Santos. On October 23, 2012, the game was made available for pre-order on Steam. On June 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., the game became officially available on Steam. All "Grand Theft Auto" games are now available on PC with "GTA IV", "GTA: Episodes from Liberty City", and GTA Chinatown Wars being released as a collection called "Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy". Both individual games also have multiplayer features that are only accessible after connecting with Social Club. cfa1e77820
